Business School is Time Consuming

Trying to come up with a good title for my absence was a little harder than I thought. My plans for this magazine was to promote and inspire financial independence while dealing with some of the hardest life choices. This past year I finalized my divorce, moved into a new apartment, and continued with my graduate school pursuit. I also took on additional side hustles teaching several classes, and becoming a teaching assistant for the business school. Of course all those pursuits took a toll on my time management.

My week would consist of working full-time, studying for classes part-time, and grading assignments the rest. I also had to build a curriculum for my classes and that took a lot more time than I imagined. It ultimately cost me three relationships, although post-divorce I was not looking for anything serious.

This summer I finally have some time off and will be working on several side projects. I plan on adding another class to my curriculum and will be writing about that pursuit. I have been nominated to become president of the non-profit that I work for and I plan on trying to learn Spanish. All of these things take time, but I am setting myself up for when I finally finish my degree.

One of the main reasons I have the summer off is that I just completed a study abroad program in Barcelona and that fulfilled my international requirement. This enabled me to take the summer off and finally take a break from school and recharge. I am a firm believer of the recharge since burn-out is definitely a thing.

I will also now have time to continue writing on this blog. I have quite a few updates and have had quite a few incredible things happen to me financially over the past few months that it would be great to share. I plan on at least having one new story a week for the summer, highlighting all the accomplishments and painting a better financial picture for me. I also want to do a longer post about divorce and what it meant both emotionally and financially. I faired pretty well in both aspects but it was / is still difficult.

Lastly, I want to talk more about my side hustle and some tips, tricks, ideas, workflows, and whatever else it took me to get there. So stay tuned and keep reading. Feel free to leave me a comment or send me a message as to what you would like to hear more about.
